Due to Covid-19 and CDC recommendations, meetings will take place via Google. If you would like to join our meeting, please send an email to kiwanisclubofpleasantgrove@hotmail.com and request to be added.
Our next meeting will be at 12:00 noon on Thursday, March 4, and will feature an old friend who is indeed quite young. All of you who have been in attendance at the club meetings recently know Tisha Gautam, the Lieutenant Governor for Division 2S of Key Club. She is a student at Garland High School and has been supporting our Key Club at Skyline High School. But she is also part of the Teen of Impact Program of the American Heart Association and will be making a presentation on Thursday about Nutrition Security and zip codes, a very relevant topic for the Pleasant Grove area. THE KIWANIS MISSION
Kiwanis empowers communities to improve the world by making lasting differences in the lives of children.
What is Kiwanis?
Members of our club meet on the 1st, 2nd and 4th Thursdays at noon at the Salvation Army Pleasant Grove and on the 3rd Thursdays at the Pleasant Grove Food Pantry. We work diligently to raise money to send children to Jerry's Dream Camp Kiwanis, Mission Camp, support Pleasant Grove Food Pantry, local Boy Scouts, Hopeful Solutions, Southeast Dallas Chamber of Commerce's Scholarship Fund, and Dallas ISD Books for Ownership Program.
